Hi,
Update of my sound mod, that one includes the New FH2012 and the Scania.
the gear change sound is new, the horn sound too.
littles improvements have been done.
Each truck has his own sound mod, so by this way, you can choose which
truck will benefit of my sound mod.

Hello its me again. Out of the four files, the scania I could not get it to move into the profile but all the others worked fine, check for a flaw.
I love the sound you produce, with the sub base unit I can feel the vibrations in the steering wheel, because the way i built the simulator enclosure out of wood.
Now all we need is to make a sound of the door opening and closing when you deliver the goods or get gas,to make it sound like you get out and in the trucks by pressing a key.
You are the man for the ets2 sounds.
In the future I am adding a professional pedel system and seperate shifting system that I can mount on the floor. At present i have a driving force gt and the shifter is good but not real enough. Your sounds remind me clearly of being a little kid riding around in my friends dads logging truck in the mountains of Idaho,loaded with tons of logs for the town mill,I searched high and low for the sounds and you brought them to life.
Ya know being retired sure is fun and now its back to pedal to the metal, and gear jamming to its max.Thanks.

The only thing i really don’t like is the air release “explosion” when we brake, the original sounds better… can you make this an option to change or not?

I saw that since the 1.6 or 1.7 version of the game, a new line appears in the DEF sound : @include “/def/vehicle/truck/common_sound_int.sui”
But in my DEF files, i added my own retarder sound line.
Try to unzip my mod, put your retarder sound inside, then zip it and give a try.
Tell me if it works.

Hi Kriechbaum its hjv here, you remember me you gave me the link for kenworth engine great mod und enough power.I’m happy with it, but I have another question or request what ever you will call it, I need an emblem for that long bonnet, you know what I mean on top of the radiator grill that would be great and would make the rig even more attractive (flying eagle or bulldog) or something like that.Thanks for all the other work you’ve done HJV.
Whoaaaa HJV you DONT want a bulldog on the radiator as that makes the truck a MACK,
besides I aint ever seen any KW’s with those sorts of things stuck on the tops of the radiators.
still I am sure it would still look pretty decent with a eagle or something like that ..but definitely NOT a bulldog unless you want the truck to be a K mack or a mackworth Lol …

Hi Woniu, the wind_inside file is in my mod, to check it, open my mod with winrar, u’ll see it by yourself.
Disable all previous sound mods and check it again.

just remember guys, I didn’t say this in the video, but if you use just play mod v4.1.7 for the TSM Map, you will have to delete some files inside for this mod to work (only for Volvo fh)…

Kriechbaum, I want to first say that I LOVE your sound mods. However I wanted to leave feedback on this one.
As usual, the engine sounds are badass. I love them. The only two problems I had with this update were the gear changing sounds and the sounds at lower idles close to changing gears.
For the gear changing sounds, I liked your original sounds better. These sound like a couple of kids having a spitwad war (if anyone knows what a spitwad is – sorry it’s an American only thing) in my ear. The gear change sounds you have at https://ets2.lt/en/volvo-renault-man-open-pipe-sound/ I think are a lot better on the ears – especially in 7.1 surround.
As for the idle levels – it may be because I am using Automatic and not manually shifting (Until I can afford the G27) but on your older version it felt like it shifted down sooner than this mod. It is hard to put into words so I hope this is understandable, but in this version as the engine gets down to where it is ready to shift to a lower gear, the sound “idles” for a split second and sounds like the truck is belching or has bad gas (the human kind LOL).
So for now I’ll continue to use the one located at https://ets2.lt/en/volvo-renault-man-open-pipe-sound/
For my driving I am only using the Volvo FH2012, so I figured I’d just copy the gear sounds and the def files from your old mod to this one for the Volvo only – but that causes the game to crash. However I think it is awesome that you separated the trucks in this one, and I am looking forward to testing this sound on the Scania as well.
To everyone else, despite those two issues, I still believe this is THE best sound mod for trucks in ETS2, and i highly recommend the work by Kriechbaum above any other sound mod. The sounds are smooth. No crackling. And no “looping gaps” or “looping pops”. Very awesome sound mods all around by this guy.

I forgot to mention that “issues” may not be the right word i should have used in my review. The two items I spoke on were personal opinion and preference only, and do not reflect on the quality of work by Kriechbaum. 🙂
