I agree with both of you, Jetta isn’t very common but either not that rare in Europe. It was popular in Belgium for example, I know police were using Mk.5 and Mk.6 in their fleet there. It’s true that Mk.7 is not available in Europe as European customers are not interested in compact sedans or sedans generally.
(Popular Skoda Octavia is not a sedan, but a liftback, although it looks like a sedan, it’s the only exception).
