Yes! In ETS2 and ATS there’s no definitive year it’s set in. There’s modern buildings, roads, vehicles but also classic ones too. Sure in the current year you can have historic things still working, but in terms of the game there will always be parts of the game that feel dated (not current) and seem like a mix and match of years.
The ding sound is charming and can also be useful for indicating how long you’ve been refueling. That’s why I prefer it over having no ding sound. I might make an addon so you can have the modern refueling sound (no ding) for those wanting the modern experience.
