In my opinion, v1.11x is beta (to tests), this way, is NoT official release.
When I buy a car, I buy an official car, does not a beta or concept one. When I buy/get an accessory to it, don’t do it expecting a beta/concept accessory.
I guess it is fundamental a description to inform the version to avoid this kind of confusion…
This is just a mod, you don’t pay for it like you pay for that car. No one is forcing you to download it and if you have problems with it you can always remove it without any issues.
Also, most people are using the open beta version, at least those that really own the game, because they are curious, as me, about what’s new. You should know that SCS don’t release updates to open beta if they are game breaking, only if there are really few and little bugs.
Another thing, if you download from the first link, the site owner will get money, not me, just so you know.

I also used the beta version, but returned to v1.10x[s] to keep compatibility with the mods that I already have, I use v1.8x[s] and v1.10[s] mainly because the maps ;-). SCS do not fix something anyway, or take incredible one year 😐
The only thing I ask/beg you(already done in comments) and to all modders(or republications) to make life easier for everyone, is inform the version which is meant the mod. [and make real tests in some cases ^^]
