As a mod author I rarely release mods anywhere but my own site. But every now and then I will post some of the bigger/more popular mods here, unfortunately I am now in a position where morons are reporting my mods for being posted here claiming copyright. The annoying thing is that it clearly says on my site that my mods MAY be shared so long as the original download link is used and appropriate credits given.
I’m just wondering if any one else suffers this issue or not?
I in no way blame the mods here for removing content, as a mod author I appreciate that they respect such things and act on it. I just wish there was a way for them to tie people’s accounts so they know legitimate mod authors so they can ignore these fake reports.
