For skin to work you need to download the trailer mod too https://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=244396 and don’t panic if you will not find it in the trailer browser section (ETS2 Desktop>About>Trailer Browser) you will have to select the skin before taking the cargo in cargo stations as shown in the picture above.
