I’m not moaning, simply asking why when a paint requires an sii, logo and the dds file itself you lock it in an archive with an Mp4 we may have our own custom version of. When I download a skin it’s normally the skin, not the whole model LOCKED when the original was OPEN. The community of truck games has changed since I was part of it.
Exactly, but it’s ok to lock DANZ’s work in an archive and credit just yourself? I wouldn’t of cared if you locked your skin and left the rest open. About 4 files of that whole archive are yours.
Well as Freddy said f it was unlocked it would be hacked and ppl will claim it as there own and thn there will be 1 big arguement, if ur tht desperate 4 the skin but not the parts skin it urself or ask some1 to make it unlocked
Millsyb, we have to respect that people lock their work, but under protest!
It is most likely that lockers like Yuu and other boldheads respect that there are people who leave their work open!
But that is just the problem with You, You don’t rspect that,
You lock it and wine like a little baby if someone make the same skin on an open truck made by modders who leave it open so that everybody can help each other!
Make Your own site lock that sh.t and leave the respectfull people do their hobbY!
I can understand 3d models being locked via pmg and scs files locked when it is 100% their own work, but this has all DANZ’s original files inside it plus your 4 or so skin files.
You locking a skin file makes no sense imho, and when we mention this to you, you just say “Oh, get a life.” “Oh, do it yourself.” If we did do it ourselves you would claim we copied your work and passed it off as our own.
The truck community of ETS2 is absolutely disgusting, it’s full of people like you screaming copy all the #### time and 12 year olds asking WHEN IS IT RELEASED, and quite frankly it is annoying.
When I was in the community in the days of PTTM, sure we had the hackers but most of the people were good and brilliant and shared between us all. Had civilized conversations and the only locked thing was a pmg file. Now, we lock scs files, rar files and even dds files. It’s pathetic and unneeded in all honesty.

YOU LOCK IT SO PPL DONT COPY THE WHOLE THING AND CLAIM IT AS THERE OWN, BY ALL MEANS PPL MIGHT RE-CREATE IT AND THY CAN BUT DONT COPY AND PASTE THE SKIN ONTO YOUR ON TRUCK AND THEN SAY ITS YOUR OWN, OR AT LEAST GET PERMISSION 1ST AND PUT THEM IN THE CREDITS
The skinner is not responsible for the modelers content, why do you need all those files there? Simply add a download link in the #### read me or something!

If a dog is born in a barn is it a horse? No, it’s a dog. Just because a title says skin, doesn’t mean it’s not all the 3d work of DANZ too.

Why is there the whole truck in this file? I only want the skin…
To make it worse, you locked the scs when DANZ’s original scs file was open so I can’t remove the parts I don’t want :/

Not even 4 files, it just replaces the basic skin for the truck so it’s permanently liveried.

If the modder leaves it open by all means he can but if the skinner wants to lock it he can… ITS HIS CHOICE NOT URS
