This is a great mod. A Jake Brake is associated with exhaust and the way this is set up the Jake Brake is associated with the transmission retarder. Also, I feel, that the the wind noise at high speed is too loud or maybe too much of an increase in volume when it takes effect.
About the Jake Brake, I intentionally added an optional mod to replace the retarder with the Jake Brake sound in case the exhaust brake is too ineffective for slowing the brakes in a truck mod.
Though I know that this is not really realistic since the engine braking strength value can be adjusted.
After American Truck Simulator comes out, I may change that optional mod so the jake brake sound is set up for the engine/exhaust brakes for some American trucks (depending on whether the stock volume is too quiet).
