This mod disappointed me a lot. I was expecting a V8 sound, not an inline-6. The M5 has a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine, not a V6 or I6.
The current sound is not bad, but it doesn’t feel as powerful or exciting as a proper V8.
Could you fix this in the next version?
I also have an idea: you could add two engine sound modes. For example, the light horn key could be used as a trigger — holding it for one second and pressing it again could activate a “Sport Mode,” making the V8 sound louder, deeper, and more aggressive, like a real roar.
To return to Normal Mode, the player could repeat the same action (hold and press again), switching back to a quieter and smoother engine sound.
As an extra feature, it would be really interesting if the dashboard graphics changed when Sport Mode is activated, making the experience more immersive.
Thank you for the idea. I’m currently developing engine sounds, and I promise you’ll hear authentic engine sounds in future cars. I’m currently working on programming several engines; I’ve even programmed the torque curve of an original engine so you can hear the realistic sound. Just wait. I know my modifications might have some issues, but I can fix them. I’m human; I make mistakes and forget things, and I’m proud of that. FIX CAR SOUND BECAUSE THIS SOUND GETS TOO OLD
As a true fan of this model, I’d like to help you bring it to perfection. Here’s what I’ve noticed:
Engine sound – if possible, please make it deeper and more bass-heavy.
Something noticeable in first-person view – you can see the reflection of the asphalt on the windshield, which looks slightly unrealistic.
Headlights – the parking lights look great, but the low beam is strange: it seems to be there, yet at the same time it isn’t (as you can see in the screenshot, it looks more like DRLs). Please make the low beam more realistic, and if possible, give it a white color.
Brake caliper – it sticks out slightly.
Overall, I’m very grateful to the person who created this project — this mod for our favorite game. I hope my feedback will be heard and that you’ll be able to make the mod even higher quality.
And one more suggestion from me: if possible, please add dynamic (sequential) turn signals to the rear lights.
