Here’s my new paccar sound for the Daf,
What’s new since the 5.0 version?
All engine’s sound files are new, and with a really improved quality.
It’s really a realistic sound, of a open pipe exhaust.
Both internal and external sound files are new.
The blinker’s sound are from TurboTruck.
Works on 1.5.X version of the game. Also should works on 1.4.X
Not on 1.3.X

Guys most ever spond mod who i install, not work i onlye hear sound of start motor, blinker sound and retarder but not sound of RPM…
Is it me, or is there no difference from the engine revs between the outside view and the cabin view?

you can hear it if you have a correct sound system on your computer.

After driving some jobs. The only thing i miss is the sub 50HZ bass. Its the bass you almost cant hear, but you definetly feel it if you have a good subwoofer (teufel concept E400, 43cm sub)
Is there a way to add it? My sub can display 32hz which is almost impossible to hear for me, but you realy feel the keyboard shaking with it :D. Then the sound is true open pipe. The raw roar you feel when driving next to a truck with open pipe.
I forgot to mention, the in-cab sound is exactly the same volume as the exterior. You might want to fix that ;). Normally the higher tones are dampened more then the lower tones in a cabin.
Still love the sound and waiting for the scania version 🙂
Awesome sound! I too kinda miss the subtle bass, but nevertheless a great mod. I put this sound in my Scanny and I’m loving it (with exception of the loud turbo, that just makes me nauseous :P)

And, yes i can make the sound louder (for external view). i will probably do it soon.
You can also do it yourself, go to the def file and edit the external sound volume for the mono and exhaust’s sound, that’s easy. 😉
If you already have a subwoofer, that’s enough. Try to to change the settings of your sound card on windows.
For the Turbo, just reduce it in the DEF file too.
I got a nice bass when playing music. But i dont hear any bass while playing ETS2…. so its probarly in ETS2 or your sound files ;).

What i can do to fix this problem…
Nikola,
move all your mods except the daf sound mod from the “mods” folter to everywhere you want.
Then, start the game and create a new profile, choose DAF as your favorite truck, then begin a new mission.
You will drive a DAF, because it’s your favorite truck.
Tell us if that solved your problem. If it works, that means that you have a conflict with other mods.

Really weird. We still use that mod and do not have that error.
Those files aren’t in my mod, (i use something else ), but the game still have them in the base folder.

I downloaded this mod but don’t know how to install it. I put away the def and sound folders in my mod folder and still not working. pls help thks

I am uploading a version with that two files your game needs for.
It also changes : the turbo sound is a little bite lowered than in the previous version.
The external view sound is a little bite more louder now, i can’t make it louder anymore.
Except that two things, the sound is the same. Hope that will help you.

–Tuzzi download my mod, then put it into \Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\mod folder
when you start the game, you have to choose your profile and, at the right corner you can select mods you want to enable. select the daf sound.
load your profile, find a Daf truck and enjoy.

sounds just like my truck at work
I can’t run this mod and don’t know why. I put away the def and sound folders in my mod folder and still not working. I tried to put the exterior.sii & interior.sii only in the mod folder and still not work and not appears in the profile edit section
