Completely disable route advisor/GPS

I would much prefer actually having to read the map and road signs to get where I need to be. Would be great with a mod that at least disables the dashboard GPS display (either just have it display a black screen, or if possible have no specified route), and preferrably also on the map and in the UI.

You can close it in game, but you need to specify controls.

But not the one on the dashboard, right?

In controls there is option called: ‘map mode on the dashboard’ (or something like that). Assign key to it and you can turn off the map.

Oh wow, silly me. Thanks for that. 🙂 I’ve decided to look into modding it myself to see whether it can be disabled on the map too, and to shut off the dashboard GPS by default (unless that’s remembered once you first shut it off) and also automatically switch to a different tab on that UI thing every time.
