This mod adds CAT-power Freightliner Argosy to the game (tested on patch 1.18, not sure about earlier versions). Everything has been redone, also added fully AO baked textures both exterior and interior, some basic tuning, fixed geometry of the truck and all-new CAT C15 engine sounds.

She’s not the prettiest truck but the sounds are excellent. In the cab , it sounds more natural than anything I have tried and I’m a bit of a nut for sound mods !
The only problem I found was the wipers dont clear the rain from the windscreen very well.
I hope this model continues to be refined and more options added.

I just downloaded this and test drove it. My review:
Only one error came up in the game, and that was due to a file called ao_color.dds being 42 MB . . . yikes . . . but I think that was just an error in compression because without changing anything all i did was open it in Photoshop and then re-saved it using the same DDS format as the other work I do and it brought the file size down to 10 MB without effecting quality at all. The game log is now error free for me 🙂
So – wish list – I really really really really REALLY hope that I can figure out a way to paint this truck in my fleet colors. If so, this will be my new main truck for sure. She drives absolutely beautiful and handles like a charm. The sound is wonderful, and that cabin . . . . oh yeah . . . . by the time I am done with textures that cabin is going to be my new home.
So with the exception of having to re-size ao_color.dds, this download and initial test run were completely flawless and a really wonderful experience. i definitely recommend this truck to anyone. I did some research and apparently this truck is still in production – and even though it is an American truck, it is illegal to drive in America due to road/axle restrictions – but the company specifically keeps this truck alive to export to countries such as Europe that depend on cab-overs for maneuverability.
A HUGE thank you to all of the wonderful authors that put effort into this awesome truck.
A template would be nice and some metallic paintjob . More lighting options to buy for the front. Chrome fuel tanks too. Great sound as well. Looking forward to your updates
