How can I remove the terrible turbo squeal?
The v1.0 long versio is the best. Similar the Ural truck sound. Thank you before.
Version 1.0 and 2.0 of this truck, have both the same engine’s sound, by default it’s the CUMMINS.
To lower the turbo’s sound, just edit with wordpad the line : sound_data: .t

name: “/sound/truck/W900Long/int/turbo_int.ogg”
looped: true
volume: 0.92
Instead of 0.92 change it to 0.30 or wathever you want/need. This .sii file is in : def/vehicle/truck/long/sound. The mod can be opened with winrar/winzip. You don’t need to unzip the sound mod to edit it.

The CAT is still my favorite. But this Detroit is really nice, this allows us to have a nice set of differents sounds for almost all trucks.

That I’m trying with SCANIA.
You see i drive three brands in my life for twenty years BUSSING 19320 SCANIA 141 and VOLVO FH12 420.
141 is still in my heart mine beats over hills 143 450!!!!tweaked diesel pump maybe from 375 550 horse power…1860000km i change it with volvo.
i dont know if it is possible but can i add one of your sound mods somehow to another truck? and if so how?

you may need to add ZZzzz. before the name for it to work judging by the comments , Not sure myself haven’t tried it.
Yeah, Downloaded from the original post, i was never able to see the trailer in the game, but after to have edited some files, it works fine.

This one is a long way from your Cummins sound mod that’s for sure, the idle sound is spot on, however the low and high could use some work, if you need help, here’s a reference video, also has a good jake brake. 😉
