Repaints in ETS1

Hi all,

I have a query on repainting vehicles in ETS1, I extracted the contents of a SCS file with 7zip and repainted the ‘bodybasic.dds’ and recompiled it in to the SCS file with the new paintjob as a 32bit .dds image. However when running ETS1 the vehicle shows up as bright purple.

Is this normal?
