Ox-Ram System – Realistic Tachograph for ETS2 & ATS
Ox-Ram System is an advanced companion application for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, focused on bringing a more realistic driving experience to the game through a fully integrated tachograph system.
The main feature of Ox-Ram System is its realistic EU-style tachograph simulation, designed for players who want to follow professional driving rules, manage their working time and drive with more structure.
Unlike simple timers, the Ox-Ram tachograph works directly with game telemetry and is synchronized with in-game time. This means that driving time, breaks, rest periods and weekly limits are calculated based on the world inside ETS2 / ATS, not just real-world clock time.
Realistic Tachograph Simulation
The tachograph system is designed to simulate key European driving time rules, including:
Daily driving time tracking
4.5-hour driving block limit
Required 45-minute break
Split break support: 15 minutes + 30 minutes
Daily working time tracking
Daily rest periods
Weekly and bi-weekly driving limits
Weekly reset based on the in-game week
Support for extended daily driving time
Break and rest detection using vehicle status
The system monitors the vehicle state in real time. Break time starts only when the truck is properly stopped, the engine is turned off and the parking brake is engaged. This creates a much more realistic tachograph experience than a standard overlay or timer.
Game-Time Synchronization
One of the biggest advantages of Ox-Ram System is its synchronization with the game time.
ETS2 and ATS use accelerated time, which makes normal real-time tachographs inaccurate. Ox-Ram System solves this by working with game time and calculating driving rules according to the in-game world.
This makes the tachograph feel natural and realistic during long-distance deliveries, ferries, loading zones and rest periods.
App Time Mode
Ox-Ram System also includes an advanced time-control mode where the application can manage time progression more intelligently.
This allows the system to keep tachograph calculations synchronized while still preserving the feeling of the game world. It helps create a realistic balance between simulator gameplay and professional driver regulations.
Overlay and Driver Information
The tachograph can also be displayed through the Ox-Ram overlay system. Drivers can see important information directly in-game, including driving time, break status, remaining time, current mode and other key data.
The overlay is configurable, so every player can adjust the display to match their own driving setup.
Built for Simulation Players
Ox-Ram System is made for players who want more than just driving from point A to point B. It adds planning, responsibility and realism to every route.
You need to think about your driving hours, breaks, rest periods and weekly limits, just like a professional driver.
Important Information
Ox-Ram System is still under active development, and the tachograph system is currently being improved with community feedback. Some features may change as the system continues to grow.
The goal is to create the most realistic tachograph experience available for ETS2 and ATS.
