The biggest update of the mod yet is here! Sounds will keep improving regularly as I’ll be doing weekly or bi-weekly updates. I will appreciate any advice and comments about this mod, as a lot of feedback from the past year was taken into consideration for this update. I know this mod means a lot to people so I’ll keep maintaining it as long as I can.

This update includes a new volume standard. It should go well now with the vanilla truck sounds as well as quiet engine sound mods such as Vasily EVR’s mods.

Corrected soundproofing in interior view of truck. New interior_sound_volume is 0.16 which brings more realism.
Redone tire and wind sound to be more accurate with what you hear in the truck cabin.
Redone default AI truck and bus traffic sound.
Redone sound for retarder stick, blinker off stick, and light switch.
Redone city sounds. Bird sounds are much more quiet.
Reworked refueling sounds.
Reduced volume of 1 external suspension sound.
Finetuned adviser message and escort message sound effect for Special Transport DLC.
Slight reduction in volume for some animated gates sounds in Animated Gates mod by Schumi (both ETS2 and ATS versions).
Some AI sounds and forest environment sounds were removed for possible reworking in the next update. Most AI sounds that are “good to go” will return in v19.2.
Sound Fixes Pack for SCANIA Truck Driving Simulator updated to 2.1 with volume tweaks and new AI traffic sounds.
Redone cutscene music (heard when buying garage or starting new profile).

Enabled default truck sound (temporary) for Dennis Dagger fire engine since it doesn’t produce a sound in the base game. A Cummins engine sound for it will be added in v19.2.

ATS specific changes:
Reduced volume of warehouse prefab sounds.
“Animated gates in companies” mod by Schumi now supported – reduced volume of gate sounds have been applied for the ATS version.

DESCRIPTION
===========

– The Sound Fixes Pack provides improvements to common sounds in the game.
– The goal of the mod is to make the game’s sounds feel like real life. The mod will have regular updates to cover more sounds to add immersion. Thus the Steam Workshop version is highly recommended for quicker updates.
– The mod comprises of euphonious, relaxing, and real sounds for a more serene gameplay than the vanilla game provides.

COMPATIBILITY
=============

* ETS2 1.33.2, 1.34.0 + ATS 1.33.2, 1.34.0. No errors in game log. Must have high priority in Mod Manager.
* Compatible with all trucks, including truck mods.
* Does not replace individual truck sounds, so this mod can be used with an unlimited amount of truck sound mods of your choice.
* Compatible with all maps.
* Supports compatibility with your favorite rain sound mods as this does not alter rain/thunder sounds. Check the load order image included for more details.
* If using any of Grimes’ seasonal mods, place the seasonal mod with higher priority than the Sound Fixes Pack for a more accurate seasonal experience.
* If using winter mods, please enable Frosty Winter Weather Sound addon from the Options folder of Sound Fixes Pack for winter sounds (non-Steam download – http://forum.scssoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=212&t=200919).
* Traffic density/behavior mods (in lower priority in Mod Manager) can enable realistic sound ranges plugin from Sound Fixes Pack by inserting this line into def/traffic_data.sii: @include “traffic_data_update.sui”

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
====================

Requires higher priority in Mod Manager than:
– any map mods (e.g. ProMods, RusMap, etc.)
– any AI traffic mods (e.g. Jazzycat’s traffic packs)
– any AI traffic density/behavior mods (e.g. those listed in section below)

OTHER CHANGES
=============

The mod also provides real top speeds and real colors for the AI vehicles which are modded with custom sounds.
This is due to the top speed and color settings being shared in the same file as the sound settings for each AI vehicle.
However in the interest in bringing realism, the AI vehicle colors are 100% verifiable using real paint codes, colors from the paintref website, and photos.
Rarer colors (e.g. purple) will have a lower probability to be seen.
