Euro Truck Simulator 2: 1.44 Update Release

We are happy to share with you that the 1.44 update has now been released for Euro Truck Simulator 2. This update is packed with new features and changes, so we recommend reading through them all.

We’d like to thank everyone who participated, provided their feedback, and made bug reports during the Open Beta of 1.44. Your valuable input helped us make tweaks, changes and smash some bugs we may have missed the first time around. We hope you can now begin to fully enjoy the various new features which are included within this update, including some new ones that may not have made it during the beta!

Austria Rework

We are excited to bring the highly anticipated Austria Rework as part of this free update for all owners of Euro Truck Simulator 2. Our rework team have been diligently working on updating this magnificent country and today we are excited for you to explore this beautiful country for yourselves.

The entire country of Austria has been reworked to bring it up to a true to life standard, as previously this was one of the older original areas of Euro Truck Simulator 2 when it released in 2012. All cities, surrounding areas, and road networks has been given a complete overhaul including the famous Alps!

We are sure drivers will face quite the challenge when trucking over these winding roads which travel along the valleys.

Companies Logos Revision

As some of our eagled eye players might have noticed from some our previous blogposts and social media video clips, some of our in-game companies logos featured in the base of game of Euro Truck Simulator 2, have received a rework!

These new modern logos, still stay true with their colour schemes but bring a modern and fresh take on these old-school companies. Keeping modern and up-to date is important for companies, even our virtual ones!

We hope you enjoy spotting these new logos on company trailers and industries across Euro Truck Simulator 2 in the 1.44 update!

Mod Refund Feature

Since the introduction of third party modification support in our convoy mode, our team has been working to improve the mod support experience. In this update, we are happy to share a new feature which we hope will further improve the players experience when playing with modifications.

About passenger traffic!
These passenger traffic activist stops and bus stations in cities. One station to the city. Now you can completely plunge into the atmosphere of passenger traffic in ETS. Trailers:
1) Intercity. This trailer (mode) gives us the opportunity to carry passengers for small distances. All long distances are cut off here. Orders will be generated to 350km. Thus, orders are formed from the city of the departure, to the city nearest from him. The number of outgoing orders is formed from 8 to 10 options.
It remains only to make a flight – the beginning and end of the route, and follow to the final point, through passing cities, transporting passengers from the city to the city. Everything is like in life. Typical intercity route.
2) Tourist. With this mode – on the contrary. It cuts off the near distances. This is a direct route from the point A to the point B with a large distance. (From 500 km and above without limitation). All in classics.

The work of “Passenger Transportation” on fashion maps is carried out only with the support of the authors of this card. (Directly by installing authors of auto station networks on their map that will support this mod)

Description:
Autonomous, it does not replace anything, it is bought at dealers of KAMAZ and VOLVO modifications.
It has one chassis and one cabin.
Simple external tuning.

SCANIA NextGen I6 sound mod by Max2712 V5.5 Final

Ready for the final version? V5.5 of my Scania NG I6 sound mod is out now! With this update, there are finally two versions again – a version for driving with the opticruise gearbox (automatic) and a version for driving with h-shifter. The latter now also contains clutch sounds!
I´m calling V5.5 the final version, since it´s the most accurate and perfect sound mod I have ever done! Therefore, I won’t make any changes to this sound anymore. So, since this particular sound mod is no longer in my plan for now, I can now concentrate on other sound mods more!
Wishing you a wonderful driving experience with this new version, and I hope you enjoy it even more than before 😉

Changelog for Version 5.5:
