This mod eliminates the annoying turbo sound from the original engine sounds. For some like me the frequency of this noise is way too high and ruins the gaming experience.
For this I silenced the specific turbo sound and edited the higher frequencies of the other engine sounds, where in some cases the turbo was still present.
Tested on 1.40

Lowering the volume of the turbo from the options does not completely take away the hiss. It bothers me and others.
It depends on what frequencies your ear hears.
I wouldn’t have changed the sounds wasting my time if it were enough to lower the volume of the turbo.
